| On Friday evening, August 7, Katonah Fire Department Tanker 6 and Car 2212 were standing by in Ossining during the Ossining Fire Department’s annual parade, alongside members of the Mt. Kisco, Piermont, and Spring Valley Fire Departments.
Shortly before 7:00 p.m., the standby companies were dispatched to a report of smoke in the structure at the Parth Knolls apartment complex on Hawkes Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and fire conditions involving the roof of Building 1.
Car 2212 assisted with water supply operations, while Tanker 6 participated in a water shuttle supporting operations at the scene. Katonah personnel remained on scene for several hours, with Tanker 6 being released at approximately 1:15 a.m. |
