Wednesday evening at about 1845, Katonah Fire Department volunteers were dispatched mutual aid for a barn fire behind The Farmer and The Fish restaurant in Purdys. Rescue 17, Tanker 6 and Cars 2211 and 2213 responded. The crews of Tanker 6 and Rescue 17 immediately went to work, assisting Croton Falls Fire Department and other mutual aid agencies with extinguishing the fire. Meanwhile, Tanker 6 joined the tanker shuttle to provide water and Rescue 17 set up its cascade system to refill SCBA bottles. KFD members remained on the scene until about 2130.
