Late Friday night, Katonah Fire Department Volunteers were dispatched to a reported chimney fire at a residence on Glenridge Drive. Cars 2213, 2212, along with Engines 116, 115 and Ladder 39 responded. Ladder 39 quickly set up so firefighters could get to the roof and check the chimney, while other crews checked the interior of the house for extension. While a smoke condition was found in the house, there was fortunately no extension of fire and the fire itself was confined to the chimney. Volunteers were operating at the scene for approximately an hour.
