KFD volunteers were dispatched around 7:30 AM Thursday, November 21 to a two-car collision on Jay Street near Mustato Road and the Harvey School Ice Rink entrance. Engine 115 and Utility 8 responded with Cars 2211 and 2213. Upon arrival, Engine 115's crew went to work with portable cutters and spreaders. They removed the driver's side door of one of the cars and safely extricated the driver who was then put in the care of Katonah Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Personnel remained on scene until the two vehicles involved were towed. Jay Street was closed for about an hour while the scene was cleared. KFD units were back in service by about 8:30 AM.
