Thursday night, at Bedford Hills Memorial Park, Katonah Fire Department volunteers joined other community groups to welcome new residents to the town of Bedford. The annual newcomers event sponsored by the town is held so that new residents can become familiar with the various community groups and agencies in town, and possibly get involved with them. KFD personnel set up a table with recruitment flyers and applications, souvenirs, and a set of firefighting turnout gear for people to try on.
