The rain held off as a large crowd gathered for Katonah's annual Memorial Day Commemoration today, co-hosted by Katonah American Legion Post 1575 and Katonah Fire Department. Led by the Tappan Zee Bridgemen Marching Band, veterans, fire department members, and Boy and Girl Scouts marched from the firehouse to Lawrence Circle, where the Memorial Day service took place. Following that, the procession returned to the firehouse for a second memorial service in front of the Katonah Fire Department Bell. Everyone was then treated to ice cream in back of the firehouse.
