At 12:44 PM Sunday, Katonah Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at the Bedford Mews Condominiums. Cars 2211, 2212, 2213, Engine 116, Ladder 39, Engine 115 and Engine 117 all responded. Engine 116's crew stretched 1 hose line and made entry to the apartment while Ladder 39's crew checked the roof for any possible extension. The apartment did have a smoke condition inside and venting was needed. After investigating, the issue appeared to have been caused by a malfunctioning air handler. KFD units were on scene for a little over an hour, making sure that there was no spread of fire or remaining hazard.
