At about 11:30 PM Wednesday night, Katonah Fire Department was dispatched with Katonah Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Bedford Police Department to Route 35 in the area of Mount Holly Road for a tree that had fallen on top of a motor vehicle, trapping the driver. Firefighters used Hurst Jaws of Life tools to extricate the driver from the vehicle, who was then transported to Westchester Medical Center with reported non-life-threatening injuries. Crews then assisted New York State Department of Transportation with the removal of the tree and reopening of the roadway.
