An accident involving a car and a van closed down a portion of Woodsbridge Road near Commuter Lot 3 in Katonah Saturday afternoon. Katonah Fire Department volunteers were dispatched at about 4 PM to the accident, with Rescue 17, Engine 115, Utility 8, Car 2211 and Car 2213 responding. Units arriving on scene found the car in the middle of the road and the van off on the shoulder. Both vehicles suffered extensive damage, however, the occupants declined medical assistance. The road was closed in both directions for about an hour and the vehicles were removed.
