Engine 116, Ladder 39 Assist Mount Kisco FD at House Fire

At about 1 PM Sunday afternoon, Katonah Fire Department volunteers were dispatched mutual aid to Mount Kisco for a working house fire. Engine 116 initially responded as a relocate to Mount Kisco's Green Street Firehouse. En route, however, Mount Kisco directed Engine 116 to go directly to the scene on Carlton Drive. Meanwhile, KFD's Ladder 39 was dispatched to handle the Green Street relocate assignment. Engine 116 arrived on scene, and its crew immediately went to work, entering the alpha side of the structure and assisting with fighting heavy fire. Firefighters continued to assist for the next several hours, attacking pockets of fire in different parts of the structure. Engine 116 was on the scene until about 5 PM, when it was released by Mount Kisco command. Ladder 39 remained at Green Street firehouse, covering Mount Kisco's district while MKFD continued to operate on Carlton Drive.
