Monday afternoon around 4 pm, Katonah Fire Department was dispatched mutual aid to assist Bedford Hills Fire Department with a motor vehicle accident with heavy entrapment on Interstate 684 SB near mile marker 13. Rescue 17, Engine 115, and Cars 2212 and 2213 all responded. Upon arrival, Rescue 17’s crew, with Engine 115’s crew helping, used its cutter and spreader tools to help get a trapped motorist out of the car that had gone off the interstate and gotten wedged sideways between some trees on the median. The victim was removed and transported by EMS.
