Monday evening, around 7:20 PM, KFD volunteers were dispatched to a townhouse on Croton Lake Road for a reported out of control fire in the fireplace. Car 2212, along with Engine 116, Ladder 39, Engine 115, Tanker 6 and Utility 8 responded.

Upon arrival it was found that the main body of fire had already been extinguished thanks to the quick actions of the resident and a neighbor. Firefighters searched for fire extension and fortunately only minimal extension was discovered. No injuries were reported and KFD units were able to clear the scene after about an hour.

Units: Car 2212, Engine 116, Ladder 39, Engine 115, Tanker 6, Utility 8
