Early Saturday afternoon, Katonah FD volunteers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident initially reported to involve extrication. The rollover accident occurred on the on-ramp to I-684 North from Route 35. Rescue 17 responded, along with cars 2211, 2212, 2213 and Utility 8. Upon arrival, personnel were updated that the occupant had self extricated. A safe zone was set up to control traffic while the driver was assessed and the landscaping equipment which spilled from the back of his vehicle during the rollover was recovered. KFD personnel were on the scene for about an hour.
