Katonah Fire Department was dispatched Wednesday night to a motor vehicle accident on I-684 SB, near Exit 6, in the construction zone. A vehicle hit the rear of a DOT truck as it was laying down cones for ongoing night work. Engine 115, Engine 117, Utility 8, Car 2211, and Car 2213 responded. Fortunately, there were only minor injuries and KFD personnel established a safe zone and directed traffic. Department units were on scene for about an hour. It's important to note that construction to resurface I-684 will be going on overnight between Exit 6 and the Harris Road overpass for several more months. Please exercise caution going through the construction zone. It is state law that you must move over and slow down for emergency flashing lights and amber flashing lights
