By Ex-Chief Dean W. Pappas
May 18, 2018

Katonah Fire Department, along with WEMS and KBHVAC, was dispatched at about 1920 Friday evening to a reported motor vehicle accident on Route 35 near Mount Holly Road. Cars 2211, 2212, Rescue 17 and Engine 115 responded, and upon arrival, reported a two-vehicle accident with one vehicle rolled over on its top. Route 35 was closed down as fire and EMS personnel checked on the occupants and dealt with fluid spills from the vehicles. Fortunately, none of the occupants needed to be transported by EMS. It took close to two hours to make sure all involved were OK, and to then clean up the scene and control traffic. KFD units were on scene until about 2045.

Units: Car 2211, Car 2212, Rescue 17, Engine 115, KBHVAC, WEMS
