Finn O'Callaghan, an 8th grader at John Jay Middle School, is completing service hours for his Confirmation by carrying out some tasks at Katonah Fire Department. Under the supervision of the Chief of Department, Finn is completing 8 hours of work, straightening up closets, doing general cleaning tasks, and, as pictured here, washing the apparatus, which is really vital to do during the winter months with road salt and other chemicals on the road surfaces. Of course, he's also getting some exposure to fire department operations so, when he turns 16, we'll be looking for him to join!
