At about 5:30 p.m. on Friday, December 29, Katonah Fire Department's Ladder 39 and Engine 115 were dispatched mutual aid to a structure fire in Somers on Mahopac Avenue. Ladder 39 went directly to the scene, where it, and the crew assisted Somers and other mutual aid departments with extinguishing the fire. Meanwhile, Engine 115, initially designated to stand by in Somers' Lincolndale Headquarters, was re-directed to set up a second water source on Route 6 for the fire. Katonah apparatus were on scene until about 9:30. We'd like to thank Mount Kisco FD for providing Engine 104 to back fill our headquarters while L39 and E115 were committed to the Somers Fire.
